Let’s Dance Louisville
Let’s Dance Louisville, an annual event presented by Delta Dental, entices guests to an evening of food, fun, and dancing! Local celebrities and/or “stars” compete in a “Dancing with the Stars” style competition to raise money for charity. In 2018, the top prizes went to Jacqueline Jacobs Smith, Andre Wilson and Taunya Clark Eshenbaugh for the Overall Mirror Ball Trophy. Proceeds from the event benefit the Sandefur Dining Hall, which feeds over 150 hungry people per day. Sandefur Dining Hall provides free lunches daily for the homeless and less fortunate members of our community. They operate out of the Cathedral of the Assumption in the alley between Fourth and Fifth streets. It’s well known to the people in the neighborhood who have come to affectionately refer to it as Bologna Alley because of their Bologna addition to their famous cheese sandwiches. Sandefur Dining Hall was officially opened on January 7, 2002. Today, they serve over 65,000 meals a year to the local Louisville community. “This was an honor to be apart of such a community legacy!” ~Jacqui
